Burke County Sheriff

The following arrests and incidents were reported by the Burke County
Sheriff's Office for the past week:


• Monday, Dec. 29

• Bruce Redd reported a crim-inal trespass case.
• Tim Dove of Waynesboro reported the theft of tools and lawn care equipment from his property. Several of the stolen items were later discovered at a Richmond County pawnshop.

Tuesday, Dec. 30

• William Harold Rogers, 49, of 188 Marks-Walden Road, Blythe, was arrested under the Family Violence Act (FVA) for two counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and battery. He was also charged with an additional aggravated assault count (not FVA). A $26,125 property bond was posted.
• Christopher Michael Reed, 18, of 1625 Old Portal Road, Portal, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. A $1,200 property bond was posted.
• Perry Brayboy of Millen reported the theft and forgery of a check.
• Arnisha Jackson of Millen reported some missing property.
• Gene Williams of Girard reported the theft of his vehicle tag.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

• Rebecah Horton of States-boro reported that someone assaulted her.
• Deputy Gregg Stroud reported assisting EMA with a combative patient.
• Jody Prescott of Waynes-boro reported that someone broke into his vehicle.

Thursday, Jan. 1

• Beronica Desiree Neal, 20, of 4090 Hwy. 23 South, Lot 110, Waynesboro, was arrested for battery under the Family Violence Act.
• Angelo Duran Cook, 22, of 4090 Hwy. 23 South, Lot 110, Waynesboro, was arrested for simple battery under the Family Violence Act.
• Crystal Tarver of Waynes-boro reported that someone broke into her vehicle.

Friday, Jan. 2

• Randy Lynch, 24, of 1193-B Clark Place Road, Waynes-boro, was arrested for possession of cocaine.
• Deputy Brian Jackson reported the recovery of a gun stolen out of Richmond.
• Burke County EMA reported a wrecked, abandoned vehicle on Wright-Allen Road in Hephzibah.

Saturday, Jan. 3

• Cpl. Robert Wright reported that a Waynesboro man was injured in a four-wheeler accident off Clark Place Road.
• Donna Fink of Aiken, S.C., reported a child custody dispute.
• Gregory Johnson of Way-nesboro reported a missing vehicle tag.
• Herbert Drayton of Keys-ville reported damage to his vehicle.
• Cynthia Moore of Waynes-boro reported a trespasser.

Sunday, Jan. 4

• Lorenzo Warren of Waynes-boro reported the theft of his vehicle.
• Tommy Parrish of Waynes-boro reported that an unleashed pit bull attacked his wife and pet dog.
• Eliza Brayboy of Millen reported the burglary of several firearms from her residence.
• Jamie McNair of Millen reported that someone broke into his vehicle and stole the stereo system.

Monday, Jan. 5

• Rosalyn Carrington of Waynesboro reported the theft of the tag from her vehicle.
• Cherry Robinson of Way-nesboro reported damage to her vehicle.
• Lakesha Prescott of Girard reported the theft of a vehicle.
• Michelle Dukes of Millen reported that someone purposely drove into her vehicle.
• Carlos Brayboy of Millen reported the theft of a CD player from his vehicle.
• Melissa Brayboy of Millen reported that someone broke into her residence.
• Deputy Joel Adams reported an incident involving battery and an attempted rape.

Monday, Dec. 29

• Raddie Zittrouer reported a criminal trespass case.
• Cpl. Bobbie Jockel reported an unruly juvenile.
• Jeff Birchill of Briarwood Apartments reported that someone fired a shot through the wall of an apartment.
• Cpl. Bobbie Jockel reported assisting a mental patient.

Tuesday, Dec. 30


• Shondelle Lamont King, 27, of 507 East 8th St., Waynesboro, was arrested for driving on a suspended or revoked license and operation of a vehicle without required decal. Bond was set at $588.
• Terry Lafayette Hill, 49, of 298 Briar Creek Estates, Way-nesboro, was arrested on a Richmond County warrant.
• A 15-year-old Waynesboro girl was charged with simple battery (Family Violence Act) and unruly juvenile.
• A 12-year-old Waynesboro girl was charged with unruly juvenile.
• Burke Medical Center reported that a 13-year-old Twin City boy was transported to MCG for treatment of a stab wound inflicted by a 4 year old.
• Renota Scott reported the theft of her purse.
• Officer Eric Hadden reported assisting with an injured person.
• Jay Eastmead of Mr. Golf Carts reported that someone stole a toolbox, battery and cell phone from a truck, punctured the gas tank and caused other damage.
• Margaret Dishmond reported a suspicious incident.
• Susie Branch reported the theft of her dog.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

• Ciscero Watson, 17, of 712-C Briarwood Apts., Waynes-boro, was arrested for DUI under 21 years of age and driving while unlicensed. Bond was set at $7,175.
• Nakima Rollins reported receiving harassing phone calls.

Thursday, Jan. 1

• Ronnie Young, 47, of 707 Davis Road, Waynesboro, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and on a warrant for probation violation. An $11,500 property bond was posted.
• Demetra Habersham of McDonald’s reported the receipt of a counterfeit $10.
• Robert Chance reported finding an ID card and key near a railroad crossing.
• Mary Bell Jenkins reported a criminal trespass case.

Saturday, Jan. 3

• Leslie Medlock reported that someone damaged her vehicle.
• Benjamin Dorsett reported a criminal trespass case.
